System depth

Not a thin app. A stack that has to hold.

The interesting work is rarely one feature. It is the depth underneath — real-time media, identity, multi-tenant isolation, and hardware that keeps running when nobody is standing next to it.

Layers in production

  • Real-time video

WebRTC over Cloudflare SFU/TURN with global routing, reconnection recovery, and TURN refresh — multiple hardware endpoints at once.

  • Identity & documents

Computer-vision identity verification (MediaPipe) and OCR document pipelines, shared across the client network.

  • Language on the call

Live transcription and translation (AWS Transcribe / Translate) so agents and customers can work across language barriers.

  • Local analysis servers

On-site servers wired into the call path — video and audio fed in so AI can return summaries, bullet points, and structured signal from live conversations.

  • Multi-tenant core

Per-client data isolation and deployment channels — scaled from one tenant to dozens without an architectural rewrite.

  • Native kiosks

Tauri desktop apps for unattended operation: encrypted local storage (Windows DPAPI + SQLite), auto-update, hardware in the field.

  • Integrations

Payment processors, fleet-management platforms, and smart-locker hardware — the seams where product meets operations.

Why depth matters

Demos forgive gaps. Production does not — especially when the path includes cameras, printers, payment terminals, and networks that drop mid-call. Depth is the difference between a slide and a system operators trust unattended.

End-to-end ownership across these layers: architecture decisions, failure modes, and the integrations that make the product usable in the real world. For the product narrative around this stack, see the platform case study.
